C2 - CORRECTconnect Bi-Metal Battery Terminals
Dallas, Texas – August 1, 2008 — You cannot solder a terminal with lead in it. Using our C2 terminals with solder will not work. The lead in the terminals melts at a little over 620F. This is well within the range of most torches and heat guns. (See below). When crimped with one of our crimping tools, such as the RC840A, the pull out of these terminals is over 1,000 pounds. You basically will destroy the terminal before the wire will pull out.
C2 terminals meet or exceed all SAE standards as specified in J1811 for battery terminals.

What is the temperature of fire? It depends on what is burning and where it’s burning (the environment). Fire is a product of some chemical reaction. Different materials may burn at different temperatures.
*A simple match can reach 1,100 F (593C).
*A candle burns at 1,400 F (760 C)
*Napalm burning reaches temperatures of 2,282 F (1,250 C).
