Hi-Line Wins Texas Family Business of the Year Award
Company Honored for Community Commitment
Dallas, Texas – October 28, 2004 — Hi-Line, an industry leader in the MRO industry, has been selected by the Institute Family Business at Baylor University as the winner of its Community Commitment Award. Citing the company’s commitment to strong business and family/community values Hi-Line was selected from more than 100 competing businesses to receive the award during the organization’s 15th annual Texas Family Business of the Year award ceremony.
In selecting Hi-Line, members of the Institute’s selection committee noted the company’s concentrated focus on both the needs of its employees and the community at large. Among the attributes that the committed felt most separated Hi-Line from its competitors was the company’s total absence of long term debt, its 45 year lay-off free history, and its sponsorship, since 1995, of the American Pregnancy Association (APA). In its nine years of existence the APA has served over 147,000 women and families throughout the United States and 75 countries around the world.
